Bengaluru: The Government of Karnataka has said that it will take legal action against Google to show Kannada as the ugliest language in search results. In view of the protests, Google quickly eliminated Kannada "as the ugliest language in India" and apologized with people who say that the search result did not reflect his opinion.
Reacting to it, Karnataka Minister of Kannada, culture and forest, Aravind Limbavali said it would be served a legal notice to show an answer to that question.
Later, he took Twitter to express the indignation of him and demanded an apology for Google to Kannada and Kannadigas. "The Kannada language has a history of its own, having come to exist up to 2,500 years," said the minister and added that the language has been the pride of the Kannadigas through ages.

When contacted, Google's spokesman said, "Search is not always perfect. Sometimes, the way content described on the internet can produce surprising results to certain queries."
"We know this is not ideal, but we take quick corrective action when we are made a problem and continue to work to increase our algorithm. Naturally, this does not reflect Google's opinion, and we apologize for misunderstandings and hurt sentiment," he said.
Former Head of Minister H D Kumaraswamy denounced Google in a series of tweets for outrageous answers to language questions. He tried to know why Google "behaves in an irresponsible way" in terms of language.
